Anthony Hagen AKA "Ant Man"

“Ant
Man” # 39
I’m writing this on behalf of Anthony Hagen. Anthony has been racing Cross Country Hare Scrambles for the last 2 years. He recently just completed the 2006 season and finished 4th in his class out of over 200 riders in the 85 to 105 “C” class. In the youth division Anthony is in the top 30 riders overall out of over 550 riders. (This is a huge accomplishment.) Anthony races in District 36 which is the largest Youth Cross Country district in the nation. The youth cross country division of the district are kids riding 50’s 65’s 80’s 85’s 105’s and 125’s, all racing motor cross hare scrambles. In the racing community Anthony nick name is “Ant Man.” He can climb any hill.
In 2004 Anthony started out as a beginner rider, riding a Honda XR80, he advanced quickly due to finishing first place five time consecutively and was advanced to a” C” rider. He just as quickly out grew the power of his Honda and progressed to a Yamaha YZ85 fully equipped for racing. As always when you move to the next class, it seems like starting over and you fight your way to become better and faster with the more experienced riders. Through practice and dedication Anthony has quickly succeeded in becoming one of the top riders in the “C” class. He has just been advanced to the “B” class, and will have his first race as a “B” rider on December 16th at the Lodi Cycle Bowl in California, again starting over and working his way up.
Anthony is very dedicated and committed to Cross Country racing and practices two to three times per week. Along with this we travel sometimes over 1000 miles in a weekend to compete. He also is very dedicated with keeping his grades at a high level and feels his education is very important. While we are traveling he is often studying and reading as we travel in our motor home to our next destination.
Anthony is on Team Gragg Bros. Racing and is training with Alex and Garrison Gragg some of the fastest Cross Country Racers in the nation. They are ranked AA Pro riders in the nation and in District 36 they are ranked 2nd and 4th overall out of more than a thousand riders. They compete with some of the top riders in the world, such as Rodney Smith a five time GNCC champion.
Wish Anthony and his team luck in the 2007 season!
